“At WCCC I never once felt unwelcome and the faculty, staff, and my fellow students were always supportive of me and my educational and personal journey along the way.”
Kristin enrolled at WCCC because it allowed her to take courses as a resident of Southern Maine Women’s Reentry Center through the Second Chance Pell program. She worked in WCCC’s Student Advocacy and Resource Center and organized Recovery Out Loud events. Kristin enjoys outdoor activities with her two sons, crocheting, and going to the gym. She graduated in May 2024 with a 4.0 GPA and complete her certified alcohol and drug counselor certification and eventually wants to earn a bachelor’s degree.
